Dear Developer , I wanted to change the Hotekey ALT+T to some complicated hotkey .. how to do it.. Needed reply at the earliest as possible as its implementation is very urgent
I am looking for a way to change the hot key as well. Is there a way for this to be accomplished?
Thanks.
Hi Allen,
On what version of the Taskbar Eliminator would you like this functionality?

I am using the base free version. It works wonderfully but in some instances, depending on the PC, there are certain applications with embedded functions which may make change the Alt key for TE. One example is a framed IE application which Alt+T causes the IE Toolbar to disappear. Thanks!
This type of feature would be very useful for any who use this program in conjunction with games and the Windowed Borderless Gaming program. In such a case, some games have issues with the mouse cursor being displayed in an offset position because of the extra space given to the game window due to removing the borders. The fix for such a situation is to simply alter the game's resolution and then reset it to the original value.
However, altering the resolution or alt+tabbing (the primary reason to use the Windowed Borderless Gaming program in the first place) causes the taskbar to appear over the game, often obscuring information bars and menu buttons, which is very annoying and distracting. Using the taskbar's autohide feature messes up the mouse cursor offset again every time alt+tab is used, so that isn't a viable solution.
That's where this Taskbar Eliminator utility comes in. The issue though, is that many games use alt+t for some ingame command, and if it's an RPG, I always end up using alt+t for a skill hotkey even if it isn't a default keybinding for that game. With this program active, simply using whichever skill I have bound to alt+t causes the taskbar to reappear, resizes the borderless game window, and offsets the mouse cursor again, completely negating the entire reason for me to use this program in the first place, and potentially being even worse than if I hadn't been using it.
I looked through the forum and found a thread where it was stated (5 years ago, I might add) that the ability to alter the default hotkey would be included in a later release. Has this feature been implemented yet, and if so, how would one find it? The preferences window has no mention of such a feature and there isn't a config.ini file or any similar thing that I can open to edit the keybinding there.
The thread I'm referencing is located here: …/forum/t-232672/a-different-key-combo#post-746001
(That's an annoying restriction to posting links, even if they're from the same site… Just add the home page link to the beginning.)
Despite how this post may sound, I am grateful for this program, and for all situations 'except' programs that already use alt+t, it works great! I simply run the game, hide the taskbar, 'then' alter the resolution, and everything functions perfectly. Thanks for creating such a useful (though niche) utility. Also, thanks for your time and understanding with regards to my post.
Thanks a lot for the feedback and the background information on why the change of hotkey would be a good feature to include in one of the Custom Builds. It is not included in any version as of today, I will see if we can add this functionality together with some other requests.
Thanks again
