Just testing it, and the browser part does not render a webapp properly.
I'm using the examples from the book "building iphone apps" from O'reilly, and when the CSS is changed to render a drop shadow from the title, and add a gradient, it is not shown…

Thanks for the response. I kind of assumed that it would be impossible to change. For something you might work on in the future, you could have the download be a folder containing the iPhone Drift executable and an ini to save the changes to the homepage. By definition, it would still be portable because it would not write to the registry.

And I am liking it.

Hi,

Great to hear:) If you're interested, the app you linked to actually doesn't show pages in the correct iPhone resolution, whether this is a bug or just overlooked by the developers I'm not sure. It also requires Safari and Flash to be installed, which I imagine would be annoying for many users.

Anyway, hope you enjoy iPhone Drift!:)

Thanks,

Thank you for your quick answer, i am impatient to get a look at your later releases, because i love the idea and also easier to be able to see real time how it look on an iPhone real-time when you build website internally like with Xaamp no way to get a look through your iPhone.
In mean time i found this: http:/labs.blackbaud.com/NetCommunity/article?artid=
the design isn't all of that but the browser look almost real, 2 default important to me is you can't rotate the screen and second it less go through Flash website and that should not happen.

Here screen shot to compare:

Again thank you for your time, and believe me i know what you are doing, it is great, just wanted to give my opinion.

Hi Jean-Paul,

Thanks:) Yes, unfortunately iPhone Drift will currently not load the 'mobile' version of sites, this is an issue which will hopefully be rectified in later releases. The only thing i can recommend which will give you a perfect view of how your site will look on an iPhone is a real iPhone!:)

Thanks,

Hey Caleb,

In version 1.3, it isn't possible to change the homepage, mostly because iPhone Drift is a portable application so it is difficult to save settings on each individuals computer without making iPhone Drift require installation.

Hope you're liking it!:)

Thanks,
